bREAKFAST AT OLIF



We like to make a fuss of our guests, and breakfast is no exception! We have a varied menu of hot choices, as well as a selection of cereals, toast & local preserves, fruit salads, yoghurts, breakfast muffins, and fruit.


Our award-winning sausages and bacon come from free-range pigs from Lon Farm in Prion – just over the hills! Our free-range eggs come from Cefn Ochr Isa Farm in Betws Y Coed and are and RSPCA ‘freedom food’ approved. All of our dairy products are locally sourced, including yoghurts from Llaeth Y Llan in Llanefydd, and milk, cream and butter from South Caernarfonshire Dairies. We cook using locally produced rapeseed oil from Blodyn Aur which is harvested just a few miles away, and use Halen Mon (Anglesey) sea salt to season our food. Our bread is delivered fresh every day from the Tandderwen Bakery just a few doors up, and our preserves are made in Pwllheli.


SPECIAL DIET?

We can cater for most diets and have gluten free bread and veggie / vegan options just in case, including milk and spreads. If in doubt - don't hesitate to ask - we're happy to help!


ORDERING BREAKFAST


We've thought long and hard about how to keep giving our guests 5* service while meeting all of the requirements put in place by the Welsh Government. Our breakfasts are served from 8:30-9:30am in the restaurant and we are asking guests to give us their breakfast order and to pick an available slot by 11pm the night before, using the short form below. We're asking this because at the moment, we are unable to leave food uncovered so cannot provide our usual breakfast buffet. We also have to try to maintain social distancing, and to avoid all of our guests arriving at the same time. You will have a 10 minute slot where we can seat you, get you your morning tea or coffee and provide table service for your breakfast buffet items (e.g. cereals, fruit salad etc.) while the chef prepares your choice of cooked breakfast.

Providing table service for our breakfast buffet is more time-consuming and your server may sometimes have to prioritise taking out hot food to other guests.


Slots will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis and breakfast is available to order from 10:30am the morning before. We ask that guests don't arrive earlier or later than their chosen slot to keep things running smoothly. If you are early, we may ask you to wait in our small restaurant until we are ready for you.


If you've got an early start, we can arrange for a 'breakfast to go' bag for you. Just let us know what time you're leaving and we'll make sure it's outside your room.

FULL WELSH BREAKFAST
2 rashers of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 egg (poached, fried or scrambled), mushrooms cooked in Welsh butter / rapeseed oil, pan fried cherry tomatoes on the vine and toast

BETWS BIG BREAKFAST
2 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs (poached, fried or scrambled), mushrooms cooked in Welsh butter / rapeseed oil, pan fried cherry tomatoes on the vine, baked beans and toast

POACHED EGGS / SCRAMBLED EGGS ON TOAST
Poached eggs, or eggs scrambled with Welsh butter and Halen Mon sea salt on your choice of toast. Try it with local smoked salmon

SAUSAGE / BACON SANDWICH
Lon Farm sausages or bacon on your choice of bread

SMASHED AVOCADO & POACHED EGGS
Toasted bread with creamy avocado, seasoned with Halen Mon Sea Salt and topped with poached eggs and your choice of smoked salmon or bacon

SMASHED AVOCADO
Toasted bread with creamy avocado, seasoned with Halen Mon Sea Salt, a dash of lime and topped with pan fried cherry tomatoes on the vine (vegan)

VEGGIE BREAKFAST
2 Quorn sausages, 2 eggs (poached, fried or scrambled), smashed avocado, Heinz beans, mushrooms cooked in butter, and pan fried vine tomatoes

Quorn sausages with a fried egg on your choice of bread
